Rubber City Rhinos starter Tom Hanson was in a rhythm all game. He led his team to a win over the Seattle Sasquatch, 2-0. The win pushes Rubber City to a record of 4-5.
Had Billy Joel not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and a runner on 3rd, Joel hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 1-0, in favor of the Rhinos.
"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Hanson.
