The Tigers grabbed a win, 4-3, at Ballpark of Ridge College, overcoming a fine effort from Florida pitcher Glen Nusz. Nusz went 5.2 innings and allowed 2 earned runs. Missouri reliever Chris Van Arsdale was the winner. His record is now 2-4. Brad Black took the loss. The 6th-place Gators have lost 4 straight games.

Missouri won the game in the bottom of the tenth inning. With two outs and Brad Black on the mound for Florida, shortstop Steve Francis hit a dramatic solo home run, bringing Tigers fans to their feet.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Francis. "And not try to do too much."
