Yellow Jackets Prevail, 2-0, Over Kansas

It was a good time at Castles Ballpark, where fans came to watch the Kansas Jayhawks and Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets get after it.
In a low-scoring clash between Georgia Tech and Kansas, pitcher Jim Clemons was a difference-maker. The right-hander earned player of the game honors for Georgia Tech in the 2-0 win. Clemons went 5.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 1 hit, walked 3, and struck out 6. His record improves to 4-1. Eric O'Sullivan closed the game out for Georgia Tech, earning his 8th save.
The Yellow Jackets got a big at-bat from shortstop Simon April. For the game, April went 3 for 4 with a triple and a double. In the bottom of the third, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 8th double of the season gave Georgia Tech a 1-0 lead.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," April said.
