Keller Slugs Tigers to 5-3 Win
|
The LSU Tigers defeated the UCLA Bruins, 5-3, in Rod Dedeaux League action at Ballpark of Shiprock College, with LSU left fielder Aaron Keller named player of the game. Sean Christmas, credited with the win, is now 2-1. He allowed no runs on 2 hits in 2.1 innings. LSU is 20-22 and UCLA, with the loss, 16-26.
Eric Donohue, who is tied for 7th in the RDL in extra base hits with 24, aided the LSU cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth. For the game, the designated hitter went 1 for 4 with a walk.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Keller said.
