Michigan third baseman Nate Trainum was a significant contributor in his team's 8-3 triumph over the Miami Hurricanes. He went 3-4 with 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4 for Michigan. Michigan is 19-23 and Miami, with the loss, 13-29.

Alex Garza had a big run-scoring double for the Wolverines in the bottom of the fourth inning. With Michigan trailing 2-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a sinker from Ezra Bryan and stroked the double to left-center. It was his 2nd double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Wolverines ahead, 2-1.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Garza said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
