Yellow Jackets Clip Gators in Tight Contest
|
The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets topped the Florida Gators, 4-2, in Skip Bertman League action at Ballpark of Bismarck College. The player of the game was Georgia Tech right fielder Tommy Buford. The Yellow Jackets bumped their record to 27-14 with this latest triumph.
The Yellow Jackets got a big at-bat from third baseman Brad Fisher. For the game, Fisher was 1 for 2 with a double, while adding 2 RBI. In the top of the ninth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 1st double of the season gave Georgia Tech a 4-2 lead.
Fisher attributed the win to "a well-rounded effort by the whole team."
