Arkansas got a terrific performance from catcher Roy Monroe, but it wasn't enough to beat the Auburn Tigers. Auburn won the Ramparts Ballpark contest, 6-2. Monroe was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. Auburn is now 15-25, while Arkansas is 19-21.

The Tigers got a big at-bat from first baseman John Halle. For the game, Halle was 1 for 5 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the top of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Auburn a 2-0 lead.
