Horned Frogs Come Back Late to Clip Ducks
The TCU Horned Frogs downed the Oregon Ducks, 5-4, at Crunch Ballpark. Joe Sauer led the way, going 2-for-4 for TCU. Bryan Sobolik got credit for the win, improving to 1-1. He allowed no runs on no hits in 2 innings. The save was credited to Jared Jones, his 5th.

Sauer had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a 2-2 fastball from Matthew Varga, he banged a 2-run home run to left, giving the Horned Frogs a 5-4 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Sauer.

"We squandered some opportunities," said Oregon manager Mark Patrick.

The winning streak has now reached 5 games for TCU.
