Bears Continue Skid Thanks to Riley, Bruins
|
The UCLA Bruins defeated the Baylor Bears, 8-4. Earning player of the game honors was center fielder Eric Riley, who was 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 6. Dave Thibodeau recorded the save for UCLA, his 1st of the season. Baylor has now lost 4 in a row.
Riley had an important at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the fifth, when he hit a grand slam. The Bruins went on to win.
