The Wake Forest Demon Deacans defeated the Oklahoma Sooners, 4-3. Earning player of the game honors was first baseman Matt Russell, who went 2 for 2 with a home run and 2 walks. Russell had no bigger at-bat than in the bottom of the fifth when the 21-year old first baseman hit a single. The single gave Wake Forest the lead, 2-1. It was his 57th hit of the season.
