Bears Lose, 5-3, at Palisades Ballpark
|
The Oregon State Beavers picked up a win at Palisades Ballpark, knocking off the Baylor Bears, 5-3. Starting pitcher Colt Wilson played a key role in the triumph. Brian LaJeunesse earned save number 6. The Beavers improve their record to 14-24 with the win over Baylor.
The Beavers got a big at-bat from left fielder Jamie Thompson. For the game, Thompson went 1 for 3. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 34th hit of the season gave Oregon State a 3-2 lead.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Wilson said.
