Trojans Shut Out Golden Bears
The USC Trojans topped the California Golden Bears, 3-0, in Rod Dedeaux League action at Nesquehoning College Fields. The player of the game was USC pitcher and Monterey Park, California native Randy Phillips. The Trojans bumped their record to 18-17 with this latest triumph.

Chris Whatley, who is tied for 3rd in the RDL in doubles with 11, aided the USC cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the second. For the game, the designated hitter went 1 for 3 with a walk. He drove in 2 runs.

"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Phillips told reporters after the game.
