Gamecocks Topple Demon Deacans with Late Rally
The South Carolina Gamecocks topped the Wake Forest Demon Deacans, 8-4, in Skip Bertman League action at Cypress Quarters College Grounds. The player of the game was South Carolina pitcher and New York native Chris McCann. Wake Forest has now lost 4 in a row.

The Gamecocks got a big at-bat from designated hitter Mike Ebert. For the game, Ebert went 1 for 1 with a double. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the ninth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a 2-run double. His 1st double of the season gave South Carolina a 6-4 lead.

"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," McCann told reporters after the game.
