2-1 Grays Win over Bombers Evens Season Record
|
It was a good time at The Death Star, where fans came to watch the South Carolina Bombers and Georgia Grays get after it.
Andres Perez never let South Carolina get something going. The Georgia right-hander commanded his slider in pitching the Grays to a 2-1 win. Matt Comrie converted his 22nd save in 26 tries.
The Grays got a big at-bat from third baseman Bronson Patterson. For the game, Patterson was 1-3 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Georgia a 2-1 lead.
"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Patterson said.
The Grays bumped their record to 36-36 with this latest triumph.
