Tulane starter Cole Kulp pitched effectively against the Long Beach State 49'ers at Ballpark of Macclenny College. The right-hander led his team to a 3-2 win. Kulp, now 2-2, was the winner. In 5.2 innings, he gave up 1 hit, while striking out 8, walking 1, and allowing no earned runs. Troy King closed the door for Tulane, picking up his 2nd save of the year.

The Green Wave got a big at-bat from shortstop Jayden Stevenson. For the game, Stevenson went 1-3 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the top of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Tulane a 3-0 lead.

Kulp called the win the result of "everyone being in sync."
