The Ohio State Buckeyes topped the Wake Forest Demon Deacans, 4-3, in Skip Bertman League action at Ballpark of Bloomfield College. The player of the game was Ohio State right fielder Ben Blackwell. Mike Johnson finished to wrap up his 6th save. The Buckeyes bumped their record to 19-15 with this latest triumph.

The Buckeyes got a big at-bat from designated hitter Danny Jennings. For the game, Jennings was 1-3 with a walk. In the bottom of the eighth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 31st hit of the season gave Ohio State a 4-3 lead.

"If you want to be considered a good team, these are the kind of games you have to win," said Ohio State manager Dave Draves.
