Tigers Turn Back Washington State, 3-1
|
LSU starter Blake Orlando put a stranglehold on the Washington State offense. The left-hander had complete command of his circle change in leading the Tigers to a 3-1 win. The Tigers raised their record to 16-18.
Eric Donohue's at-bat in the top of the third inning was a big one for LSU. Coming to bat with one out, a runner on 2nd and LSU leading 1-0, the designated hitter hit a run-scoring single.
"We were the better team today. Maybe that won't be the case next game, but we'll enjoy it for now," Donohue told the LSU News.
