The Houston Cougars downed the USC Trojans, 7-4, at Nesquehoning College Fields. Joe Shook led the way, going 4-for-5 for Houston. Josh Bradshaw, credited with the win, is now 2-2. He allowed 2 runs on 7 hits in 5.1 innings. Jesus Martinez locked down his 3rd save.

Shook had a key at-bat for Houston early in the game. With the bases loaded, he hit a 2-run single. It was his 40th hit of the season and gave Houston an early 2-0 lead.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Shook said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."

The Cougars bumped their record to 19-14 with this latest triumph.
