Benefiting from Travis Parker's productive game, the Cal State Fullerton Titans downed the Rice Owls, 4-2. Parker was 2 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 runs for the Titans. Cal State Fullerton reliever Jesse Miles was the winner. His record is now 1-0. Jim Harris took the loss. Mark Dunphy nailed down his 2nd save.
Parker had a big at-bat with the bases empty in the bottom of the fourth inning, when he hit a solo home run. The Titans went on to win.
"Baseball is about momentum," said Parker, "and we feel we've got it in our favor after that win."
Cal State Fullerton is now riding a 3-game win streak.
