The Stanford Cardinals defeated the USC Trojans, 6-3, in Rod Dedeaux League action at Nesquehoning College Fields, with Stanford pitcher Ray Dammel named player of the game. The Cardinals bumped their record to 23-7 with this latest triumph.

A crucial at-bat came with runners on 1st and 2nd and no one out in the top of the sixth inning. That's when first baseman Aaron Myron, who is tied for 2nd in the RDL in triples with 2, reached on an error by the 3B. The Cardinals went on to win.

"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Myron said after the game.
