Longhorns Walk Off with Win
Washington State got a terrific performance from pitcher Dave McCrudden, but it wasn't enough to beat the Texas Longhorns. Texas won the Ballpark of Celebration College contest, 3-2. McCrudden was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He threw 7 innings of 6-hit ball. Texas is now 14-15. Washington State is 19-10.

The Longhorns got a big at-bat from designated hitter Bobby Cahall. For the game, Cahall went 2 for 5 with 2 singles. In the bottom of the tenth, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 28th hit of the season gave Texas a 3-2 lead.

"This place was jumping at the end," Cahall said.
