The UCLA Bruins downed the California Golden Bears, 10-6, at Ballpark of Shiprock College. Marco Guerrero led the way, going 2-for-3 for UCLA. Even with the win, the Bruins have a dismal 9-20 record.

Ben McElderry aided the UCLA cause with a grand slam home run in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the shortstop went 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once.

"The beers will taste better tonight after this win," said the ever-candid Guerrero.
