Trojans Pull Even With 6-3 Victory
|
The USC Trojans defeated the Cal State Fullerton Titans, 6-3, in Rod Dedeaux League action at Nesquehoning College Fields, with USC shortstop Nick Giesler named player of the game. Dave Tressler earned the save for USC, his 1st of the year. The Trojans bumped their record to 14-14 with this latest triumph.
The Trojans got a big at-bat from second baseman Joe Mann. For the game, Mann went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 7th home run of the season gave USC a 3-0 lead.
"I'm just happy to help the team win," Mann told the USC Observer.
