Hurricanes Lose, 7-2, at Bruisers Ballpark
|
The North Carolina Tar Heels defeated the Miami Hurricanes, 7-2, in Skip Bertman League action at Bruisers Ballpark, with North Carolina pitcher Mike Winter named player of the game. Colin Paradis earned the save for North Carolina, his 2nd of the year. North Carolina has an impressive 20-8 record.
Bryan Wilson, who leads the SBL in extra base hits with 20, aided the North Carolina cause with a 2-run home run in the bottom of the third. For the game, the first baseman was 1-4 with a home run and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said North Carolina manager William Wilson.
