The umbrellas came out during the Vanderbilt-Kansas contest at Brutes Ballpark.

Getting an impressive start from John Gayden, Vanderbilt beat Kansas by the score of 4-1. The Commodores bumped their record to 16-12 with this latest triumph.

Matt Strickland, who is rated as the 4th best prospect by BNN, aided the Vanderbilt cause with a run-scoring single in the top of the seventh. For the game, the left fielder was 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk.

"We put together a nice win," Gayden said.
