Gators Lose 4-2 Decision to Seminoles
|
The Florida State Seminoles defeated the Florida Gators, 4-2, in Skip Bertman League action at Ballpark of Bismarck College, with Florida State shortstop Chris Parker named player of the game. Florida State reliever Erik Velasquez was the winner. His record is now 1-1. The losing pitcher was Glen Nusz. The save went to Bobby Kincaid, his 1st this season.
Early in the game, Parker had a 3-run home run for Florida State. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Seminoles on top, 3-0.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Florida State manager Gene Barraclough.
Florida State, now 13-15, holds 17th place in the Ron Fraser Division.
