Oklahoma State first baseman Adrian Wesley was instrumental in his team's 8-7 win over the Arkansas Razorbacks. Wesley went 2-3 with 2 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Cowboys. The winner was Oklahoma State reliever Alvin Sheldon, now 1-0. The loser was Lance Robinson. The Cowboys bumped their record to 13-13 with this latest triumph.

The Cowboys got a big at-bat from second baseman Brent Schmidt. For the game, Schmidt was 1 for 3 with a double. In the bottom of the tenth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 1st double of the season gave Oklahoma State a 8-7 lead.

In postgame remarks, Schmidt simply said: "Here's to a great win!"
