The TCU Horned Frogs defeated the Stanford Cardinals, 3-1, in Rod Dedeaux League action at Surfers Ballpark, with TCU pitcher Josh Donovan named player of the game. Bryan Sobolik recorded his 1st save for TCU. TCU's record now stands at 11-15, placing them 17th in the Cliff Gustafson.

The Horned Frogs got a big at-bat from first baseman David Clayton. For the game, Clayton went 1 for 4 with a double and a walk. In the top of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 7th double of the season gave TCU a 2-1 lead.

Afterward, Horned Frogs manager Jim McCormick was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
