Big Day for Brodish as Wolverines Down Cowboys, 8-5
|
Michigan played host to Oklahoma State at the friendly confines of Siege Ballpark.
The Michigan Wolverines downed the Oklahoma State Cowboys, 8-5, at Siege Ballpark. The Wolverines were led by Nick Brodish, who captured player of the game honors. He was 4 for 5 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 5. The Wolverines now have a mark of 12-13.
The Wolverines got a big at-bat from catcher Stephen Kostas. For the game, Kostas went 1 for 3 with a walk. In the bottom of the fifth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 6th hit of the season gave Michigan a 5-4 lead.
"We swung the bats good throughout the lineup," said Michigan skipper Micheal Wade.
