Curry Goes Wild, But Gators Win
Miami first baseman Willie Curry was sensational. He hit 2 home runs. He scored 3 runs and drove in 3, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Florida beat the Hurricanes, 10-7. Curry was named the player of the game despite the loss. Dave Parsons picked up the win in relief, improving his record to 1-1. Ross Strauss was tagged with the loss. Florida has an impressive 17-8 record.

Had Tristan Wilson not delivered a key base hit in the top of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Wilson hit a 2-run single. That made the score 8-7, in favor of the Gators.

"I felt good up there," said Wilson. "I saw the ball well."
