Ballentine Lifts Cyclones to 5-1 Triumph
The Iowa State Cyclones knocked off the Ohio State Buckeyes, 5-1, at Forney College Grounds. Jamie Ballentine, who captured player of the game honors, was a big reason Iowa State won. The first baseman went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The Cyclones go to 13-11, putting them 9th in the Ron Fraser Division.

Ballentine had a big at-bat with runners on 1st and 3rd in the bottom of the third inning, when he hit a run-scoring single. The Cyclones went on to win.

"Enjoyed this one," Ballentine told the Iowa State Daily. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
