The Clemson Tigers got a strong performance from pitcher Matt Warner, who stymied the Michigan offense en route to a 9-2 win at Magistrates Ballpark. Clemson is now 11-13, Michigan 11-13.

The Tigers got a big at-bat from center fielder Steve Hines. For the game, Hines went 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 5th home run of the season gave Clemson a 4-2 lead.

"We'll savor this win," Hines told the Clemson Herald, "then get ready for the next game."
