Aggies Score Late, Upend Golden Bears, 4-2
|
Texas A&M pitcher Casey Beach did his part in helping his team beat the California Golden Bears, 4-2. The right-hander kept opposing batters in check throughout the game. Texas A&M reliever Aaron Harden picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Marcus Huley absorbed the loss. Jon Thomas earned the save, his 1st, for the Aggies.
Taylor Minick aided the Texas A&M cause with a run-scoring walk in the top of the eighth. For the game, the pinch hitter drew 1 walk.
"It's a mindset," said Beach. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
At 11-12, the Aggies are currently 14th in the Cliff Gustafson.
