Crimson Tide Prevail, 3-2, Over Wake Forest
|
In a low-scoring clash between Alabama and Wake Forest, pitcher Kyle Hoage was a difference-maker. The right-hander earned player of the game honors for Alabama in the 3-2 win. Hoage picked up the win for Alabama, going 6 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 2-1. The Crimson Tide bumped their record to 14-9 with this latest triumph.
The Crimson Tide got a big at-bat from shortstop Tommie Parsons. For the game, Parsons was 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the first, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 8th home run of the season gave Alabama a 3-0 lead.
"It's a mindset," said Hoage. "Just trying to do your job, trying to be consistent."
