Sun Devils Stun Bulldogs, 6-3
|
The Arizona State Sun Devils topped the Fresno State Bulldogs by the score of 6-3, with the largest share of the credit going to catcher Ryan Royster. Royster went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once for the Sun Devils. Bob Clayton locked down his 6th save. The Sun Devils have an impressive 16-6 record.
Royster had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a 1-1 curveball from Danny Jensen, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Sun Devils a 6-3 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Royster.
"I try to not think too much," said Royster.
