Hurricanes Continue Skid Thanks to Leiby, Sooners
|
The Oklahoma Sooners topped the Miami Hurricanes by the score of 6-2, with the largest share of the credit going to right fielder T.J. Leiby. Leiby went 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Sooners. Oklahoma reliever C.J. Greene picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Matt Graf was saddled with the loss. Miami's current losing streak has reached 8 games.
Leiby had a key at-bat for Oklahoma early in the game. With a runner on 1st, he hit a 2-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and gave Oklahoma an early 2-0 lead.
