Sooners Win at Alabama, 5-1

The umbrellas came out during the Oklahoma-Alabama contest at Titans Ballpark.
The Oklahoma Sooners got a strong performance from pitcher Jesse Messinger, who stymied the Alabama offense en route to a 5-1 win at Titans Ballpark. The Sooners bumped their record to 14-7 with this latest triumph.
Curt Seese drew 1 walk in 4 trips to the plate for Oklahoma. The 21-year old left fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the fourth. With two out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring hit-by-pitch off Theodore Ahlstrom. It was his 8th RBI of the season.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Oklahoma manager Bennie Edwards. "It's usually not just one thing."
