Owls Topple Wildcats with Late Rally

Toughkenamon College Fields was sent into a frenzy with a walk-off win.
The Rice Owls beat the Arizona Wildcats, 4-3, at Toughkenamon College Fields. The Owls got a fine performance from designated hitter George Nash, who captured player of the game honors. He slugged 2 home runs. With the victory, the Owls record now stands at 9-12.
Nash had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the ninth. On a 2-2 fastball from Billy Murray, he banged a solo home run to left-center, giving the Owls a 4-3 lead. It was the 8th home run of the year for Nash.
"We did enough to win," said Nash.
