Golden Bears Solve Sun Devils, 5-2
|
Getting a good performance from right fielder Evan Wescott, the California Golden Bears defeated the Arizona State Sun Devils, 5-2. Wescott was 4-4 with a home run, a triple, and 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Golden Bears. The Golden Bears bumped their record to 12-9 with this latest triumph.
The Golden Bears got a big at-bat from designated hitter Michael Walker. For the game, Walker was 1-4 with a home run, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave California a 5-2 lead.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Walker. "And not try to do too much."
