Horned Frogs Raise Rally Flag, Beat UCLA, 9-6
|
The TCU Horned Frogs defeated the UCLA Bruins, 9-6. Earning player of the game honors was designated hitter Christian Brown, who went 2-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. The 'W' lifts TCU's record to 9-12.
Brown had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a 1-0 fastball from Marc McDougald, he banged a grand slam home run to left, giving the Horned Frogs a 9-6 lead. It was the 10th home run of the year for Brown.
"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Brown. "And not try to do too much."
