Cyclones Topple Tigers with Late Rally
The 2034 season is getting ugly for Missouri.

The Cyclones had to overcome a good performance from Missouri pitcher Brian King to claim a 5-3 win at Ballpark of Ridge College. King went 5.1 innings and allowed no earned runs. Iowa State reliever Corey Messina was the winner. His record is now 2-0. Chris Van Arsdale took the loss. The save was Nick Swanson's, his 4th.

The Cyclones got a big at-bat from first baseman Jamie Ballentine. For the game, Ballentine went 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. In the top of the ninth, with the bases loaded, he stroked a grand slam home run. His 7th home run of the season gave Iowa State a 5-3 lead.

"I'm just looking for a good pitch that I can hit well," said Ballentine. "And not try to do too much."

The Cyclones bumped their record to 11-10 with this latest triumph.
