Golden Eagles Raise Rally Flag, Beat UCLA, 9-8
Danny Redding left his imprint on the 9-8 South Mississippi win against the UCLA Bruins. Redding, who is tied for 4th in the RDL with a .776 slugging percentage, was 4-5 with a home run and 3 singles. He scored 3 times. South Mississippi reliever Bob Chamberlain picked up the win, upping his record to 1-1. Derrek Bathauer was saddled with the loss. The Golden Eagles bumped their record to 12-8 with this latest triumph.

Dallas Fugate was the walk-off hero for South Mississippi. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Golden Eagles designated hitter hit a dramatic solo home run to send the teams home.

"We got the victory," said Fugate. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."
