Tar Heels Continue Hot Start to Season With Win
North Carolina right-hander Dustin Thomas pitched his team to victory over the Oklahoma Sooners at Biglerville College Fields. The final score was 7-5. The winning pitcher was Thomas, now 3-0. He tossed 5 innings of 4-hit ball, while walking 3 and fanning 5. Billy Still, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 2nd save.

North Carolina used the bat of Bryan Wilson to get the win. The first baseman hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Tar Heels ahead, 7-2. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it did its damage.

"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Wilson.

The Tar Heels bumped their record to 14-6 with this latest triumph.
