Cavaliers Continue Hot Start to Season With Win
|
Nate Randazzo left his imprint on the 5-1 Virginia win against the Clemson Tigers. Randazzo, who is tied for 4th in the SBL in runs scored with 20, was 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Mark Lochmann, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 1st save. Virginia has 3 straight wins, Clemson 3 straight losses.
A crucial at-bat came with a runner on 1st and no one out in the top of the third inning. That's when second baseman Chris Stewart reached on an error by the 3B. The Cavaliers went on to win.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Randazzo.
