Salukis Bang Out 7-4 Win Versus Tennessee
Chris Maynard left his imprint on the 7-4 South Illinois win against the Tennessee Volunteers. Maynard, who is tied for 8th in the SBL with a .692 slugging percentage, was 1-2 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. South Illinois reliever Cory Dorsey picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Cory Nobis was saddled with the loss. The Salukis bumped their record to 10-10 with this latest triumph.

Maynard had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the seventh. On a 0-1 fastball from Cory Nobis, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Salukis a 7-4 lead. It was the 6th home run of the year for Maynard.

"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Maynard.
