Ohio State pitcher Zachary Royster gave the Seminoles all they could handle, but in the end, Florida State left Ballpark of Riverdale College with a 2-0 win. Royster allowed 1 earned run on 3 hits over 5.1 innings. Florida State reliever Isaiah Gordon picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Zachary Royster was saddled with the loss. Neil Vandermark saved it for Florida State.
Florida State right fielder Walt Muller contributed to the cause with a single in the bottom of the third. For the game, Muller went 1 for 3 with a walk.
"Can't say enough about our pitching," said Muller.
Florida State is in 16th place in the Ron Fraser Division with a record of 9-11.
