The Florida Gators scored a 1-0 win versus the Wake Forest Demon Deacans at Ballpark of Bismarck College. Florida pitcher Robbie Lawrence nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. The Gators bumped their record to 13-6 with this latest triumph.

The Gators got a big at-bat from right fielder Allen Cargle. For the game, Cargle went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. In the bottom of the third, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Florida a 1-0 lead.

Afterward, Gators manager Torazo Yamamoto was ebullient. "That was a fun game to coach," he told a group of reporters, adding, "I hope it was just as fun to watch."
