The Michigan Wolverines took Miami pitcher Matt Graf's best shot and still were able to claim a win at Gremlins Ballpark. The final score had Michigan getting past the Hurricanes, 4-3. Graf went 5 innings and allowed no earned runs, striking out 7. James Arnold earned the save for Michigan, his 9th of the year. The Wolverines bumped their record to 10-9 with this latest triumph.

Marcus Clayton's hit in the top of the ninth was a game-changer. With two out, he rapped a cutter from Andrew Millard for a run-scoring single. It put Michigan in front, 4-3.

"We came out on the wrong end of this one," said Miami skipper Júlio Santana.
