Tigers Bang Out 6-2 Win Versus UCLA
|
Jason Hyslop made an impact in the 6-2 LSU win over UCLA. Hyslop was 1-3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. LSU reliever Sean Christmas got the win, raising his record to 1-1. Matt Swearingin was tagged with the loss. After today's action, LSU sits at 8-11, while UCLA falls to 6-13.
Hyslop had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 2-0 fastball from Matt Swearingin, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Tigers a 5-2 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Hyslop.
"I thought we played a nice game," Hyslop told the LSU News. "Good pitching, timely hitting, it was all there."
