Seminoles Win at Tennessee, 7-3
|
Florida State Seminoles starter Lance Crumpton was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Tennessee Volunteers, 7-3. Butch Eviston picked up the save for Florida State, his 2nd of the year. After today's action, Florida State sits at 8-11, while Tennessee falls to 8-11.
The Seminoles got a big at-bat from first baseman Mike Miller. For the game, Miller went 3-5 with a home run and a triple. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the top of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Florida State a 3-0 lead.
Crumpton told a Florida State Gazette reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
